This is a 379. Note the air cleaner has no 'tube' extending forward. 379 has internal piping for the air cleaners and no angled cut out on the hood side panels. 379 replaced 359 in late 1986 (for the '87 model year) much as 389 will replace the 379 in the future. |

Going by the IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) decals on the toolbox, this truck's likely a 1990 or 1991.. depending on production date. The decals are renewed yearly by North American motor carriers, and with 4 displayed, this means the truck's been in service for 4 years (including the current calendar year). |
