I´m not sure about intro in Sweden, I´ve searched for it earlier. What was the releasedate in Italy? Now I checked some old roadtests, the oldest one was from midyear 1961 and it stated that the first 40.000 vehicles was sold exclusively in Italy due to homemarket demand and that they wanted to cure eventual initial problems on the cars before export started. This would indicate that our first cars were of modelyear 1962. Maybe even the rest of the first exported cars were of MY 1962? Both models were sold here but 1300 was outsold by 1500. Less than 1/3 were 1300 and both carried the additional designation Juventus. Some 1500 were called De Luxe instead. So, most probably this is a 1962+ 1500 Juventus. |

I'm almost sure that at that time releases of Fiats were at the same time. Tha car appeared in Italy in the month of April 1961. In the same issue of "Illustrato" (The Fiat internal magazine), appeared several pictures of Fiat 1300 and 1500 even abroad, and I remember one in Stokholm, with already a Swedish plate. This doen't mean automatically that Fiat 1300 and 1500 were immediately available in Sweden... |

In Sweden these Fiat's were sold as Fiat Juventus. Probably because a football crazy nation (Sweden). |
