Since then AVC 19 has regained "the original 1935 body" so looks different now. So one car seems to have become 2 - the chassis reincarnated as AVC 19, and maybe other bits survived the dismantling and became the basis of a recreation, which DVLA have presumably accepted as having enough authenticity to retain or regain the KV 9478 plate. At this point, I'll wave a white flag - my brain hurts and I need a lie-down. And I don't want to create a situation where lawyers could decide to pounce. Any Riley guru is welcome to take up the story .....
