As we dont have the non-fiction series 'Aerial Britain' not listed, I place the question here:

(unprofessional: the speakers says "die Orkneys", so the incorrect plural.
On IMCDb I've learned, that "Orkney" is correct.

And you're right - Orkney is correct, and The Orkneys is totally wrong. Similar for Shetland, never the plural. But The Hebrides are always plural .....
