Bentley replica (though I am unsure of the name) by Antique & Classic of Buffalo, NY (later BMC - British Motor Cars) Link to "lh5.googleusercontent.com" |

Not sure that replica is quite the right term. It could be a prewar Derby saloon that has been rebodied to look like this after the collapse of the original coachwork. It might even be a cut and shut MkVI, but none of the oily bits of which I have such intimate knowledge is visible. Or, it could be completely bogus. -- Last edit: 2021-02-08 13:41:14 |

Or it could be something like this, look at the price! https://www.classic.com/veh/1936-bentley-414-liter-tourer-b49gp-kpdgEoW/ |

Special picture for dsl.![]() 1948 Mk VI. Body by Knibbs and Parkyn. I do not have a picture of the Simpson and Slater body it previously wore, I don’t know if Animatronixx has, it’s the only Bentley MkVI saloon they bodied. From Bernard King’s book on the Mk VI Bentley. The question is, what would we all, me included, have thought it was if we hadn’t known? Hence its relevance to the subject vehicle. -- Last edit: 2021-02-09 15:25:51 |

Apparently not. There is a big batch of "unidentified" pictures (coachbuilder and/or chassis) which might contain one of the vehicle in question, but AnimatronixX is down for maintenance right now. I may be giving it another try later on, though. Sincerely - AntibiotixX ![]() |
