As the number plate is mounted on a pre-1961 2CV without problems, I'd say we have a Belgian version, or at least made for D. 1959 is generally accepted as the first year 2CVs were imported to West Germany, which makes this 59/60. This must be an AZ as the only other option was the AZU, which (already) had a third side window. "Ente" was not yet a nickname, in Germany Citroen was looking for something quirkier and typically French than just 2CV and held a contest. The winning entry was 'Monpti'. |
