You mean the hole on the top A-pillar part of the door (slightly above and in front the mirror) If so, I see it too. |

Around the country, the norm is to use old police cars as taxis. The only cab company that really actually uses "taxi-package" vehicles is the New York cab company. Last year, the Ford Motor Company produced 4,000 Commercial Taxi Package Crown Victorias, 3,500 of them went to the NYC Cab Company. The other 500, well, they went all around the country, I assume. But yes, if you were to come to any part of the US, except for New York, and you got into a cab, chances are it was a former police car. |
