Now that you've mentioned it, there appears to be Lemmerz “GT” wheels present. Color could be Viper Green Metallic. So don't write off the Super Beetle yet (well over 13,000 La Grande Bug (La, not Le) made for US and Canada) And yes it was almost a full stop in the imported Beetles - as the air cooled era was over. No other evidence of the end Super Beetle import - that could explain the lack of brochures available, but not the other way round. Swan song or not, the La Grande Bug was just another special edition - but as such it was filled with options, like a sunroof or the before mentioned wheels or the special paint code @night cub, no better images available, I presume? -- Last edit: 2020-03-22 11:52:20 |
