1954 Crestline (badge on right of trunk) Victoria hardtop. Model 60B. I only count one door handle, and no 2d sedan was offered in the Crestline series for 1954. Note: Customline and Crestline had chrome rear window molding, Mainline had only rubber rear window molding. No series badges on rear other than on Crestline. (EDIT: information regarding series badge is incorrect) car pics: Customline: (no series badge) http://www.motorcarportfolio.com/site/product.cfm?id=3114 http://perso.orange.fr/acmacm/trombiFoMoCo/fd540102.jpg Crestline: http://www.classiccars.com/15716.car Production figures: http://www.lovefords.org/tech/production/52-54.htm Line up brochure (high-res): Link to "oldcarbrochures.com" -- Last edit: 2007-11-03 06:33:02 |

Paint Code (upper/lower) C/M Cadet Blue/Sandstone White http://lovefords.net/tech/Vin/paint/ford/54_f.htm (Paint Code explanations) http://www.mclellansautomotive.com/photos/H3946.jpg (Original Paint Chips, third chip down) http://www.chooseyouritem.com/classics/files/171500/171790.html (photo of Cadet Blue 54 Crestline Skyliner) Sorry, but manufacturer paint color names fascinate me. I love how poetic they can sound. -- Last edit: 2007-11-20 04:05:08 |

The badge on the side of the trunk didn't say "Crestline" but "Overdrive" or "Ford-O-matic". Yet I'll agree with 58Roadmaster on account of the backlight and roofline. It would be higher in a sedan. By the way, I'm with you 100% about paint color names. |

Thanks Ray B. ! There is just a wealth of information held collectively by the members of this forum. If I could only be half as informed as, say, Pilou or Philr, I would be very happy. For now I am building a useful library. I would eventually like to see what is available outside of Krause Publications. |
