Lviv started its first bus line on April 12, 1928 with a Lancia bus, joined by a fleet of Ursus AW in 1930 (for suburban transport) and four Polish (?) "Sauer" (Saurer?) in the fall of 1931. By 1939, when the bus lines were privatized, there were 16 buses running a total length of 12,2 km. Six ZiS-16 were added in May 1940 when the USSR annexed Southeastern Poland to the Ukrainian SSR. https://bus-lviv.com/Firstbus/ https://photo-lviv.in.ua/avtobusnomu-rukhu-u-l-vovi-106-rokiv/ Edit: It's Sauer indeed - Wilhelm Sauer of Menden, Northrhine-Westphalia: http://baitsar.blogspot.com/2019/09/sauer-1930.html But did he build the body? And on what chassis? -- Last edit: 2020-09-27 10:51:47 |
