i dont really think this is a tempo, the rear window is kinda rounded whereas the tempo rear window is flat. |

The first year for the Sedan was 1992, not 1991. However, the white strip makes it a Mercury Tracer, not a Ford Escort. |

Yes, Ford Motor Co was trying to give each brand different product, with Ford brand getting the hatchbacks and Mercury getting the sedan. But since all the competition sold more sedans than hatchbacks, the Ford brand dealers complained and petitioned for an Escort sedan, which is why it arrived later.
