Just a cheap clunker at the time - but you could say that about Golf IIs as well. Opel wheels? |

My Vauxhall Cavalier, a 1992 L with the 1.7 litre Isuzu diesel did 96k miles in 4 years with no repairs required, and then went to the factory for their use as a works runabout. The last time I saw it, about two years later, it was still going, but lifted up on a fork truck while they changed a flat tyre. An excellent car, cheap to buy, reasonable to drive, and tough. |

honestly i find more fun to see regular cars in vintage car shows ( in 2019 there was a pair of 1st gen Lumina ) than the 45th Z28 on the exposition site |

John my ‘93 [CB7] is considered junk by almost everyone I know. Even more of a reason to keep her. To each his own I guess? May only the good lord judge. |

I have memories of my father-in-law’s ‘83 Triumph Acclaim, a Honda of some sort (Ballade?) in disguise as a Triumph really, which was as rotten as could be when it was disposed of. It was a nice little car, the mechanicals were good, but the body? No chance. -- Last edit: 2021-04-13 16:55:52 |
