I tried to find something on the website... I found this picture of a L7 in commercial version
http://camionclubdefrance.a.free.fr/Unic_L7.php
The position of headlights doesn't match exactly with this cabriolet :/

The photograph that resemble this car is in the book which I have.
Can I scan and post, and how do I post ?

If you have a picture already scanned, simply go to www.imageshack.us and upload your picture. Then in the result page, copy the 1st link "thumbnail for website" (or the last link, "direct link", to post only a text link).

Looks quite similar for me, but side rouber is different.
(I think this book's 'type L' is a rough expression...)
This square and earnest design is 1930 or so.

For me, this movie's car seems shorter and lower range model than this picture's car.
May be identify if the products lineup of this time are checked.

You're right Jun, the shape is very similar but the size of the car is much bigger than the model in here ...very hard :/

I think it is a Mathis of the 1930s.

The closest model I found would be a cross between a Mathis PY "Sport" cabriolet : http://www.mathis-auto.com/Page14-vos-mathis.htm#7 ( the last, black one )
( a bit too long, not high enough, but the wheels and front body are ok )

Or (quite a good match ! -but not a perfect one) a Mathis P :
http://www.mathis-auto.com/Page3-Voitures-4cyl-1919-1936.htm
"Fin 1921 à 1925 ;; P ;; 6 cv ;; 760 cm³" => the black one on the right identified as a "conduite intérieure 2 places 1 porte"
The front body, above the wheels, doesn't match, but the height and the length are correct
[Image: page3p28rw.8109.jpg]

But the site mentions several variation of each model, so ...
