The car:

But how reliable is this information? You need a cool head to positively enter Packard info. For starters, 433 doesn't show up as a chassis code in my book...

Your book may not be complete. 4 is the 4th series Packard and 33 means 133 inch wheelbase.

Well, it is from '96 but it's the newest I could get. I also now see I was looking at the model numbers and 433 was listed in the headliner.

And? The year the book was published shouldn't affect its accuracy.

Well, new information is always added in later editions. There would have been the possibility that back then someone didn't know the code and it was only added in a later edition.

"New information", car was almost 70 years old when that book was written, would have been a slip-up if it was absent, if anything.

Lateef wrote would have been a slip-up if it was absent, if anything.

That is what I've been trying to say...

Well, I read it as you saying that the authors discovered new information rather than forgetting to add it. The 433 was made in more than 10,000 units, pretty hard to not know about it if you were to write a book about Packards.
