1993-2000 external mirrors. 4 doors and hardtop make it an [HMC4] version.

I could try to say that 1993 is just there as default model year. But a 2000 model wouldn't be called H1 either, as the H1 name came indeed only when the H2 was unveiled, i.e. in mid-2002:

just the 2 M present in Hummer, and no V, which were for the military version. This huge guy was jus called Hummer, as you can see in the brochures:

Older models had this side vent:
