The text on the grille looks like it could be 'BAILU' Some info here: http://www.ahhaqc.com/display.asp?id=846 and here http://shuoke.autohome.com.cn/article/525747.html The manufacturer name is Yema Qiche 野马汽车 (factory name Chengdu Light Vehicle Plant 成都轻型汽车总厂) and there were 4 models/brands?, 白鹿 (Bailu), 金顶 (Jinding), 芙蓉 (Furong) and 野马 (Yema). Yema off-road vehicles were public security law designated cars. Wikipedia says Yema started car production in 1994 but both links and the official Yema website contradicts it and says they have been making vehicles since the 80s, as early as 1986. And two pictures of the car itself, but with square wheel arches: Manufacturer: Yema Model: Bailu Or is Bailu the brand after all? ? Does anyone have any corrections or suggestions? -- Last edit: 2017-05-02 15:41:08 |

I contacted the authority on old Chinese cars and here is what he said: 'Keqare is correct; it is Bailu from Yema. Bailu was a sub-brand'. |
