I'd also say Omega B as they were already spotted in China.

So is this the Omega?

I don't think so. To me the side window's line is not Omega-ish such as the grille and hood and head lights. So IMO something else.

But the China scenes were filmed in Los Angeles? Then it would have been a Catera.

Definitely not an Omega/Catera. No detail matches.

Accord looks a bit better but the foglamps don't match.

Were 2nd gen Toyota Windoms (Lexus ES) [XV10] marketed in China? I thought it might be that.

As previously mentioned (and established) the scenes in China were filmed around Los Angeles, so it's useless to speculate whether a model was sold in China or not.

The Shanghai scenes are a mixture of Los Angeles and real Shanghai locations.

The Chinese registration plate looks genuine, unlike many of the others.

As suggested by CougarTim previously, and if this is truly China (and it's very possible since there are many Shanghai Santana's seen in the background), it could very well be 1999-2002 Guangzhou-Honda Accord. They even had these odd small foglamps in the bumper, which I don't think appeared in the original US versions.
