@andrepa: It seems much more likely Victor Toujansky was the owner as he indeed was the director to this film. And a search on "Georg Plang" on the net doesn't give any result. If he ever was a producer/director he must have been very hidden... Interesting fact concerning Zarah Leander. I've been wondering what kind of car she had, as she seems to have been a mega star in Germany at the time. I'd imagine the link is interesting as well, but unfortunatelly I can't read Cyrillic. Do you know how to? That is apart from several years at the university ![]() |

@ zodiac thanks, for asking i'll give a try with a little help of comrad chrome whos english is so làlà ![]() Actress and singer Zarah Leander had a low husky voice and nationality was swedish. In the Third Reich, is no surprise. Nazi ideology was raised by German women exclusively faithful and exemplary mothers and wives. That is why the imperial propaganda minister Dr. Joseph Goebbels insisted that the film as a femme fatale played exclusively foreigners. One such image Leander embodied in the film Der Blaufuchs - literally "Blue Fox", and in our opinion - "Silver Fox" - released in theaters in 1938. This was an ordinary romantic comedy with stellar composition of those years, and only one in the film was unusual: the protagonist - a pilot Tibor Vari tempting Leander heroine named Ilona - went on a roadster Mercedes-Benz 500K. This car was released in a single copy, and how he got to the set director Victor Tourjansky today, probably no one will tell. UNDER THE FIFTH. Emigrated from Russia in 1919, Turzhansky very successfully worked in the field of German film and say, even several times been awarded a meeting with the Chancellor. It's funny that the same Mercedes-Benz 500K, which was lit in "Silver Fox" got to Victor as if from the hands of the Führer. Although more precise, from his ... feet. Compressor Mercedes-Benz 500K was first introduced to the public at the Berlin Motor Show in 1935. When the leader was taken to a new model, that for some reason just suffered on naval epithets and metaphors. He pompously said that the wings "pyatisotki" - a "wave dissected wedge radiator, which symbolizes a powerful stem and shiny chrome exhaust pipes like streams of water flowing down from the anchor hawse ..." There is a legend that at the next show, which was graced by the Chancellor, Mercedes-Benz 500K is not caused him such enthusiasm. Looking around with a retinue exposure Stuttgart concern, Hitler allegedly jumped smartly boots on the very seat roadster - the benefit of the doors at the body was not - and, as it should be the leader, gave a speech about the future of the German automotive industry. "The people of Germany do not need such machines - he needed a simple" people's car "that everyone can buy." The embodiment of this punishment engaged Dr. Porsche roadster and exhibition traces the soles of boots ruler fell into private hands. Who was the first owner of a unique Mercedes-Benz 500K, is unknown today. Although it may very well be that it was not the owner, and the owner - gossips Zara Leander recorded in Hitler's mistress, and there were rumors that Hitler gave her a "Mercedes". Is not really a roadster, which appeared three years later in the film with her participation? -- Last edit: 2014-02-22 02:44:00 |

1945 - 1967: TROPHY GERMANY. Then there was the war. Now Der Blaufuchs not called film, and the operation of the Wehrmacht on zabroske troops in the northern regions of the USSR. Then there was a mass movement of vehicles on our territory has as trophies. Warlord who enjoy on our roads compressor Mercedes-Benz 500K - unknown. machine surfaced only in the late 60-ies in the Estonian town of Tartu. Her owner was Baits German origin surname Brikkel. "Pyatisotke" come to him from Leningrad. Brikkel all his life working driver on trucks and buses and vehicles because like - except roadster said he still had and Horch 830BL. Only he loved her in his own way, in the driver's. Of the original gray-blue he repainted it in a brick and black wings did - so look more elegant. More economic Brikkel welded roadster hitch ... the better to carry firewood on the trailer. It is in this form of neglect and found "Mercedes" in 1967 Riga restorer Yuri Telshevsky nicknamed Giovanni. As soon as I saw, so once peace and lost. Eight years to persuade the owner to sell Giovanni car: coming every six months, but that - in any. In one of his visits old Brikkel waved, saying, take, it's yours. Two days Giovanni sold its Jaguar SS100, borrowed money and bought "pyatisotke." To Riga "Mercedes" came his way. Telshevsky restored roadster whole year. He had even to polish crankpin - engine still banging on his way from Tartu to Riga. Bought the original lights and on the yoke collected many prewar icons - in the center of the diamond was the pre-war Latvian Automobile Club, and even repainted the car in bright red color. Giovanni hurry cause "Mercedes" in order to first automobile parade Riga antiques, but still did not finish before he could alter the seat cushions on the night before departure, and caps on the wheels so find and failed. However, even without this marafeta car during his first-out "in the light" unmistakably identified Arthur Leshtin - Moscow businessman, hunted vintage cars. He was the next owner of a unique Mercedes-Benz 500K. -- Last edit: 2014-02-22 02:43:20 |
