Looks Englandshire countryside and chalk rockface, so SE England (or possibly N France??). In all the bits where this footage is recycled, sometimes the other scenes show an all-red Dauphine, but the flying (or plummeting) one has a black roof. "So, Watson, we need to find the film of the black roof Dauphine ambling normally along the road before it becomes a lemming" said Sherlock, drawing deeply on his pipe.

As far as I know, there is no such footage. The crash was filmed for The Baron, where the scene shows the all-red Dauphine, before the crash.

Maybe they just threw that black-roofed Dauphine off the cliff without thinking of a particular production to use it in?
