Altough it's not possible to see if it has the painted sidelight housings, this XK120 Roadster seems to have the footwell ventilators introduced in November 1951 ( 1952 model year ).

Bit late to the forum which I found by accident
The 120 was bought brand new from Mann Egerton in Norwich by my uncle in 1952 for £1750
He gave it to me in 1998 in pieces and Guy Broad restored it ready for the Jabbeke celebration run that year. Chrome sidelight housings. It is a sin in XK circles to refer to them as roadsters. The correct name is OTS open top sports as opposed to DHC Drophead coupe.
Joanna Lumley and James Fox were photographed admiring it.
