Continental Sovereigns had those steel wheels with hubcaps with the alloys being an option (see brochure: http://www.jag-lovers.org/brochures/84range.html ) Only issue is that 1986 is slightly after the change over to Sovereign V12 as a name. Probably just an error on the registration unless it sat for a long time before registration. It has C as MY digit on the VIN that would mean 1982MY according to most decoders but I distinctly recall us having a few similar issues with Jaguar VINs before so best follow the date of registration.
