I don't think there was a 2.3 Mk3 version, only until end of Mk2. If plate info correct, best explanation is a bored-out 2.0 conversion. |

UK never built or received Capri 2.3s in any Mark 1-3 - only German (and Genk??) production. Checked Robson's book again, which does cover German Capris as well as UK, and it's got other references in text to 2.3 Mk3 as lasting until end of LHD production in 1984. So it's just a typo in one table, and he can keep his divine status (which is a big relief). |
