Is that what that 80s Stutz was based on? |

I agree, shic647. Compared to those, the '70 Pontiac is beautiful. |

i do agree on the fact that it looks like the designer did it at the last minute like a kid who didn't do his homework and does them while eating breakfast... ![]() |

I knew before I even clicked on your link, Baube, that it was going to be the Aztek. Possibly the ugliest front end ever put on a van-type vehicle. |

I like the 1970 better than the 1971 front end. I've heard it joked that the 1970 Pontiac looks like an updated Edsel. |

I quite like the Renegade. I find it looks better than most crossovers available here. It will be like the PT Cruiser, though, in that it will have a brief period of popularity then years later everybody will think it was a bit naff. (At least here they are quite common). Agree that the new Prius is a special kind of ugly as are most new Lexuses. |

Pontiac had tendency to produce some ugly cars example the 77-78 Firebird looked AWESOME , but the folowing 79-80 looked terrible to the point that James Garner hated it and didn't want to use it in Rockford Files -- Last edit: 2016-09-19 23:20:07 |

Renegade is not bad...probably what the Compass should have been... But the Cherokee... let's just say it shares the Aztek's critic i read once... -- Last edit: 2016-09-19 23:23:05 |

I can't see what's wrong with the Cherokee. I think it looks awesome. |

I love the baroque style of the 1970 Pontiac, but my tastes are admittedly esoteric. Subject car is Catalina or Executive by the trim. Based on the location of the rear door handle relative to the wheelwell, I believe it is the shorter wheelbase Catalina. |

Well mostly my gripe with the new Cherokee is that it isn't like the previous generations. Those were built for off roading and they weren't glorified station wagons. The new Renegade is basically just a tin can in my opinion. But that is not saying much coming from someone who usually likes older cars. That reason being there is less software and more hardware, and you would still get a CD player. |

what i hate about the Cherokee is the headlight position.. my initial reaction was wow, i have to admit.... that was until i saw the fog lights down under and realized that the big square out from nowhere was the headlight, like they went " D'OH ! headlights..we forgot, where do we put those things ? " looks like an alien creature... -- Last edit: 2016-09-20 05:39:55 |
