I've never actually seen a VP Commodore in Indonesia or even any Commodore after the VL, it's actually quite fascinating. Holden did sell the Commodore in Indonesia but only from VB to VL when Holden eventually left Indonesia around 1986 and 1991 because they could not compete with the Japanese competition (nail in the coffin was when the diesel Holden Gemini was rebadged as the Isuzu version in '89 and when Udatimex closed their doors in '91). I don't know how this one ended up in Indonesian shores, maybe it was imported from Australia i've heard about an SS VU Ute that was imported to Indonesia and probably the only VU Ute there... ![]() |

The VP series Commodore was never available in Indonesia and this example was probably privately imported, so the made for RI tag does not belong for this car. The last Commodore and genuine Holden model sold in the country was the VL Calais 2000/Calais Enterprise which would be more fitting for a made for RI tag if we have a rare sighting of it. |

Agree with you, lucivex. The VP series was never sold officially here, so I'm voting for the removal to the Made for RI tag. Not sure which moderator put that tag at the first place. |
