Cars production goes on since 1994, initially as a joint venture with Nissan and since 2000 as a subsidiary of Renault (complete name is indeed Renault Samsung Motors). They produce now some rebranded Renault models, but some cars sold in Europe as Renault (for example, the Koleos and the Latitude) were engineered by Samsung in South Korea.
