Austin A125 Sheerline. KDG = 1951, but KOG = 1950 and as a Birmingham plate would suggest a factory fleet car. My hunch is go for KOG, but you've seen it onscreen, so the responsibility is yours .... |

And the A40 Devon Countryman behind could be interesting if a better view available. (in production 1948-52. My dad's first car was a green one - JUV 995 (issued Dec 1952) - bought 2nd hand 26:10:58 for £285/0s/0d) |

How could you? Bentley indeed! The O is an O, an identical character appears on the number plate of my Bentley, registered in Birmingham, 1953 -- Last edit: 2015-09-06 22:53:28 |

Difficult (or Oifficult, if you prefer). Plate fonts varied between plate manufacturers until recently (2001??) when ANPR meant a single font was legally specified. Squared fonts which would make O and D similar tended to be 80s+ (maybe reflecting early PC computer screen fonts for glamour??). Most 50s fonts would have rounded D (more like this one as a random example). -- Last edit: 2015-09-07 03:30:10 |
