That's what you call a failure to communicate... rockstar was talking about the Taiwanese-built Escape which is a completely different car and was also sold in Russia: Link to "www.mad4wheels.com" A picture of the Russian premiere is dated August 27, 2008 - put it as a 2009? |

Not just built, but designed there too. So origin should be Taiwan on these. From Wikipedia: " the ZD Escape designed in Taiwan by Ford Lio Ho for Asia-Pacific markets went on sale in mid-2008" |
