That's weird, I don't see the Chevrolet bowtie, but does have the Chevrolet grille ![]() But according to Wikipedia, they are locally assembled here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_S-10_Blazer#Second_generation |

If you look closer, all stunt vehicles in the movie have been "anonymized". All badges have been either removed or hidden with black tape. |

Chevrolet Blazer with an Opel badge. Not an actual Opel at all. |

I thought Opels were sold heavily in Europe (sold in Britain as Vauxhall), as well as parts of Africa and Western Asia during the GM years. -- Last edit: 2019-02-01 14:41:28 |

It is based on GM's [GMT330] platform. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_GMT_platform#GMT_325/330 |

Odd this model still has the pre-1999 mirrors that the US models lost for 1999. |

This car is a bit weird, and confusing to know the exact trim. It had the brushguard but single-tone color, which made it the Montera LV trim (original brochure attached). But it had the leather interior similar to the Montera LS. Probably Montera LV with aftermarket leather seats. -- Last edit: 2022-02-11 09:43:43 |

Nice brochure but to better respect the neutral's point-of-view of non-expert users much more further, please consider to post a few multiple links of reliable sources from the internet. You've keep forgetting this over and over. Also, stop guessing overtime the trim levels, it's a moot point for now if it's mixed with a hackjob. Taking my liberty here for the better; these were the trim level names for our Blazers in Indonesia as redacted from the Indonesian Wikipedia and Mobil Motor Lama. I'm only including the Opel-branded models, as in our matching question. The Chevrolet-branded 2002-2005 Blazer won't be included but based on that aforementioned Wikipedia source, the late Chevrolet-branded version retained the same trim level names as the Opel-branded 1999-2002 models AFAIK... 1996-1998 - Pre-Facelift - Blazer = Self-named trim, which originally a base trim for 1996 only, before becoming a mid-spec trim from 1997 onwards. It is a DOHC model. - SLi = Introduced for the 1997 model year as the new base trim; it is a SOHC model featuring sealed-beam headlights, black bumpers and no side moldings. The interior has a basic instrument cluster and lacks a console box. - LT = Flagship DOHC trim, also introduced for the 1997 model year. Can be disguised by its two-tone color, featuring a standard bullbar and a leather interior with wood panels. A tonneau cover is also included. - Z-Line = Limited edition model. 1999-2002 - Facelift - Montera = Base SOHC trim, replacing the SLi; in a typical General Motors fashion, due to how basic it was, the Montera is available in different packages, which will be listed in the next section below. - Blazer = Returning self-named mid-spec DOHC trim. - LT = Returning flagship DOHC trim; options from the pre-facelift have been carried over. 1999-2002 Montera packages (later carried over to the Chevrolet-branded 2002-2005 model) - Montera = The base Montera lacks almost everything; no foglights, no side moldings, no roof rack, no rear defogger, no rear wiper, no rear third-brake light and no console box. It is a seven-seater with a basic interior, completed with fabric seats. Exterior-wise, the bumpers were made out of steel and painted in black, with a basic one in the rear, while steel wheels are standard. Side mirrors can be only adjusted manually. - Montera LN = If you thought that aforementioned Montera was basic enough to be a starter pack, technically it was actually this LN. It removes the third-row seats, making it a five-seater only (much like its North American counterpart), and it lacks a radio! Thankfully, you don't need to worry about that, since a few used Montera LNs have aftermarket radios installed by their owners. - Montera LV = The LV adds the side molding, rear third-brake light and the interior console box that were missing in the base Montera. It also scores a standard bullbar and alloy wheels. - Montera LS = A Montera LV with two-tone color options, semi-leather interior and body-colored bumpers. - Montera Sport = A Montera that leans into the sportier side, featuring side fender cladding, a cowl hood scoop and five-spoke wheels. The Montera Sport also scores a roof rack. Real plate, but has since been moved to a 2009 Toyota Alphard. -- Last edit: 2025-09-05 10:40:42 |
