Triumph SAINT's (?) I don't really know if they are Triumphs, but, here are a few pictures of Triumph police motorcycles. Maybe they can help. http://www.policebikes.org.uk/page825.html https://www.flickr.com/photos/ronsaunders47/5468730676/ http://www.motorstown.com/images/triumph-saint-07.jpg http://www.motorstown.com/images/triumph-saint-05.jpg A Triumph police motorcycle of that era is often refered to as a "SAINT". I just learned that it means Stops Anything In No Time. Great! (I had a feeling it didn't refer to the bike Simon Templar would have ridden!). -- Last edit: 2014-07-29 03:02:18 |

Not much to go on but looks like a drum brake which would indicate Triumph TR6P Saints , nearly all Police Norton Commandos had a front disc. |

I think you're right about the TR6P, JCB. Looking at the picture again, I have a feeling that these are made-for-the-movie bikes, not genuine police motorcycles. -- Last edit: 2014-07-30 05:23:01 |
