Because of the length this is not the (shorter) Capitol, but a 1953-54 Scania-Vabis C 50 Metropol. Scania built 200 of them during 1953 and 1954 of which 199 was sold to 'Stockholm Spårvägar'. They were used until changeover to righthand traffic in September 1967. 'Stockholm Spårvägar' was shortened SS, which wasn't very popular after the war. Perhaps one reason why it was changed to SL in 1967. |
