Hammond's own E-Type. Pretty, isn't it?

DVLA details for 653 UXU are:

123 UXU series was not issued in period, so plate is a modern age related combination (from 2006??). No clue what the original plate was.

Does the car has to be old?
I know for some popular makes there're whole bodies available for purchase. E.g. MGB and, I believe earlier Ford Mustang.

I read an article about it in 'Practical Classics' some years ago, and about the problem following like registration, historical value and market value.
Also it's possible to by old papers to make a "new" car.

I'm wondering if this is a replica rather than an update. In a recent edition of Classic Car Club on cable, Edd China roadtested a similar E-Type which was a real ground-up restoration in that the manufacturers actually built the monocoque themselves and fitted all-new parts, including a five-speed box, improved brakes and fatter tyres.

Fair enough; I'll go back to an update. I still don't think the wheels and tyres are standard.
