1997+ for Polo in Australia (note: technically launched in late 1996, however, only 47 were registered in Australia in 1996, 42 of which were in December). Only offered as a 1.6L 5-door in Australia, in one trim level. Air conditioning was the only factory option offered. About 6000 of this generation Polo were sold in Australia, 1300 of which remain registered as of 2019. |
