Probably a 1937 Series 85, originally this was a fairly fancy car with the separate chauffeur compartment, formal padded roof, etc. In 1950, used cars of this kind were very inexpensive to buy. Car collecting hadn't become a "thing" yet, the pre-war design was considered dated, they were expensive to maintain, they used a lot of fuel (even when it was inexpensive). |
