A huge custom special recently built up from a 1930 RR Phantom 2 chassis with a "Spitfire" 27 litre engine and Bentleyish replica body. But the engine might have come from a tank as a RR Meteor version instead, said James. Shows on plate check sites but not on DVLA as RR or Bentley. Not sure what to call it - most of the ingredients seem to have emerged from RR factories - but I'm sure there would be a name somewhere to describe it, but googling hasn't produced any clue yet. |

Interestingly it's still registered as a 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II, but I guess Peterson Meteor is the correct name |

Link to "www.telegraph.co.uk" (with a photo showing BP 3332 plates which does not register on check sites - show plate or a 2nd example??), plus engine info at http://www.sharpandtappin.com/tag/meteor-bentley/ . -- Last edit: 2012-03-12 18:37:06 |
