While working on the set of this series, I spotted fiberglass bits for this T-Bird replica, kept alongside a rusted-out 1959 Fleetwood. The T-Bird's entire front end had been copied as a one-piece fiberglass unit. The windscreen was a well-worn, plastic replacement.

A second car was also purchased; I assume for the actual "beauty" shots of the vehicle.

Two or three-star car. As of the three episodes released by Starz to-date, it was used only in episode 1.01 by Stevie Evans (not his car though), who promptly crashed it within a minute of its appearance. Two star role, but the car gets good time during its short stint.

Replaced by the '57 Corvette.

Just saw first episode. Great reason why this beauty crashed!

I'll write him up for "distracted" driving.

With any luck, they probably wrecked the fiberglass copy.

Incidentally, I'm tempted to say this is a 3-star vehicle - it got more screen time than any other car on this series yet.

Even though the car did not belong to a significant character, it was the center of attention for it's entire time on screen; the camera angles chosen specifically showed off the car.

P.S.: Saw a running '57 project car (with 1970's aluminum mags, no less!) on the Miami streets just a week ago. Complete with old paint, primer, and body filler. No door handles.

It looked as if it was a project car that crawled out of American Graffiti - almost more striking to see a fixer-upper on the road than a restored car.

There was at least one company that produced fiberglass Thunderbird replicas.

That's an original Thunderbird used for the pictures. This is a genuine repop:

The fiberglass T-Bird nose that was there was for a '57 though - and the hood was integral with the rest of the nose cone, suggesting that it was a recently-produced part.
