Then rather Western TV. Despite the fact, that Western TV-stations were involved, the DDR had no money for buying new import-movies (music neither). So Western productions were aired there always some years later. Surely only hand-picked stuff without political content. So the Hitler-parody here /movie_61728-Le-grand-restaurant.html was cutted out. And usually imported movies were dubbed extra by the DEFA. Well done at the Danish "Olsen-Banden"-movies, better as the West German versions. A real reason, why they were much more known and popular in the DDR than here, where they were nearly unknown. |
