It has dual rear wheels so it will be bigger than 1/2 ton - which is the smaller pickup on 16" wheels. Possibly 1 1/2 ton?

First of all, Wikipedia says "Ball of Fire" was released on December 2, 1941 - which makes more sense with this GMC (Not 1940 as shown above). This model GMC first appeared in 1941 production, so that must be it (no later). This design, with 5-stud wheels (Yes - dual rears) would be a 1941 model CC-300, 350, or 400.
