 Seems to be a real police spec Mondeo. I think this might have been an actual police car belonging to the local force.

Out of curiosity what road is used here? Pretty nice scenary.

Some guesswork to see where it goes. I remember watching some episodes a few years ago when they were shown on Channel 5 - Taggart for the South Welsh, but still worth watching. One episode set in Tenby, so local force would be Dyfed-Powys and their badge looks similar to the Mondeo's. Can't trace their fleet, apart from finding a picture of a preserved 1990 Rover 827 hatch H467 STH in similar livery though some detail differences. So D-P force seems a good possibility - do we have any UK policecar experts who can take this further?

As for the road - what was the episode date? Suggest it is a newly finished stretch of motorway/bypass/trunk road opened in the 12 months or so before transmission, again in the Dyfed/Powys area, but not yet open at the time of filming - no signage visible in the various pictures for instance. What were the new projects at the time eg M4 extension west of Swansea, A40 or A48 dualling, St Clears bypass??
