The newest it could be is a 2001 model. 4x4 info: Permanent full-time 4-wheel-drive with open type front, center and rear differentials. They are non limited-slip and non locking. Low range reduction gearing is engaged via dash mounted push-button. 4-wheel electronic traction system (4-ETS) is standard to control torque distribution and transfer. Note this is the only generation of M-Class to offer low range reduction gearing as standard equipment on all 4-wheel-drive models.
