jettalover ◊ 2009-10-18 05:46	In the first thumbnail it looks like the tailgate has lost the ability to open. Also the license plate doesn't have a light(s) near it to light it up at night, a minor violation.
4x4peru ◊ 2009-10-18 18:45	Some models featured "no tailgate". The Renegade series among the first then the Golden Eagle packsage. No tailgate was deemed sportier and less utility oriented. First it provide a solid location to mount the spare tire on the rear of the vehicles in place of the typical right side mount. The biggest difference was it did not rattle. The traditional civilian jeep tailgate with support chains and hooks rattled constantly. The tailgate itself knocking back & forth against the body. Military models had no tailgate except the M38 which was bolted closed. After market body suppliers offered no tail gate replacements as they were cheaper to build and gave the jeep a more custom appeal. This could be a replacement body as the Jeep is modified quite a bit which may explain the license plate relocation. The snaps for the soft top are not in the correct location for an original body/factory soft top.
