The thumbnail looks like a Chevrolet Caprice |

The thumbnail is a Chevrolet Caprice. A 1977 or 1979 Caprice. Of course, the car in the main pic is a Buick Estate Wagon. -- Last edit: 2008-08-07 14:43:29 |

Probably '77/'78/'79 as well. Weren't the portholes on these downsized Buicks dropped after '79? |

They remained only on the 1980 Electra Estate Wagon (4 portholes). In 1977-78-79, there were the regular Estate Wagon with LeSabre exterior trim (grille and 3 portholes) and the Estate Wagon Limited with Electra 225 exterior trim (grille and 4 portholes). Since this one has 3, it's a regular Estate Wagon from 1977 to 1979. In 1980, the badges were also moved from the rear quarters to the front fenders and the Estate Wagons were also identified as LeSabre or Electra. |

The main image and the thumbnail are clearly not the same car, notice that the Caprice has no roof rack. ;-) (and it also lacks portholes and has an additional side moulding on the doors) |

Looks like a major movie goof. Does anybody care to add it to IMDb? |

Where do you need that roof rack for? There's plenty of space IN the car... |

Poor Buick Estate Wagon! How did it loose the roof? Because of a truck? Or a giant sign? |
