It seems to have the larger rear view mirror, so 1974+ |

By these additional fog lamps and a single rubber strip on the bumper above the numberplate, I would say it's a 1975+ X2. |

It could be another type aswell, as the fog lights where also an accessoiry. |

I thought only the X2 had a single rubber strip on the bumper above the numberplate...(?) |

That is also an accessoiry, but you are right, most likely an x2 |

The GS X2 had black bumpers so more likely a GS X of the first generation. The rubber strip was found also on the Club's bumper, but there were no foglights in the Club's standard equipment. |

As far as I know, the first series of the X2 also had chrome bumpers and the Club had two rubber strips - one on each side of the front bumper. |

It's because the car is not clearly brand new, so one stripe has been lost in a small parking shock (I don't remember Citroen providing one side protection for economy reasons), and the first series of X2 was named simply X so we agree.. |

Correction! I saw what you're talking about..there's only one stripe in the center of the bumper, and yes X and X2 models had both inox bumpers and were together in the range for a long time (1975-1978).Only 1978 X2s had black bumpers (and foglights underneath) and next year 1979 took away the X2 (replaced by the X3) while X continued on! So that car might be anything (X or X2) 1975-77 and only the script on their back could distinguish them. |

AFAIK the X2s and X3s had driving lamps mounted high on the front bumper. |
