Wagon on the left. I know this as Mitsubishi Galant Wagon in Holland, but this is New Zealand. |

The wagon was called the Mitsubishi Legnum in Japan, the name may have been the same for New Zealand. |

Could be an Aussie-made Mitsubishi Diamante Wagon -- Last edit: 2007-05-23 23:26:25 |

This was filmed in NZ (probably a motorway in the Auckland area) even though it looks to be set in the US. If the car looks like a Legnum it probably is. These are a popular model here in NZ but they are all Japanese domestic market models imported second-hand. -- Last edit: 2007-05-30 09:30:59 |

Was it named like that because wagons used to be woodies? (Latin: lignum = wood) ![]() |

The cars are clearly driving on the left hand side of the motorway, because we can see the hard shoulder on the left and the other half of the motorway on the right. It's odd that a big Hollywood film would just fudge it with a tight shot instead of getting the second unit to film some shots of a freeway, because the shot of the Explorer (/vehicle_106771-Ford-Explorer-2002.html) shows that they had a second unit in New York. |
