It's got the actual NYC Taxi fleet trim, and the black lettering on the side is from the Upper East Side Cab Company. |

Right. Cause you can't just go to a cab company and ask "can I rent a taxi?" Run it through hell, and then return it. (Though it would be nice to do!!)  |

Actually, there are certain instances where the movie production has their own fleet of taxis. Good examples would be when you're watching a movie, say, from 2000 that takes place in New York and you see a bunch of 1992 Crown Victorias and box body Caprices as taxis. Still, I mostly assumed this might have been a movie car because of the missing hubcaps, but both of you are correct.
