it must be a hillman imp coupe as sunbeam stiletto's had vinyl roof's and different hub caps.it could be a singer chamois coupe but i can't see the extra trims that they had in tthe photo. |

It is not a Sunbeam Stiletto. The Stiletto has a black vinyl roof, a stainless steel moulding along the sill below the door, no badge on the front mudguard (wing) just behind the front wheel, full stainless steel hubcaps with a spoke effect design & a badge on the rear quarter panel between the rear wheel & the tail lights. |

Definitely not a Stiletto as Rootesfan explains; choosing between Hiilman Imp Californian or Singer Chamois coupe more difficult but I think this is Californian as side trim strip is thin and I think some hint of Chamois over-riders would be visible especially at rear against the contrast of the trolley; as more Californians were made than Chamois coupes it is also the more likely. Date here any time during the 67-70 production - the 69my facelift did not affect side features. |

Badge on front wing would suggest its a californian, (similar badge also fitted to front wing of chamois coupe) stilletos had their badge on rear wing, -- Last edit: 2011-10-18 02:11:03 |
