Ford made Ferguson tractors under a simple handshake agreement between Henry Ford Senior and Harry Ferguson. The agreement was that Ford would manufacture for Harry Ferguson a tractor incorporating all the latest Ferguson inventions and designs. Ford employed the latest production-line principles to the new 9N tractor with a Ford side-valve engine made between 1939-1947. |
