Chevrolet Nova, probably a 1975 (crash bumpers). I don't know them well enough to call the engine, but probably a 350 V-8 judging by the amount of tarting. |

It can only be a 1973 or 1974, but it IS a Chevrolet Nova. Those "crash bumpers" became mandatory in 1973. -- Last edit: 2006-09-10 17:38:21 |

This is a 1974 SOA Nova that was offered by Chevrolet in honor of the bicentennial. http://www.gmphotostore.com/images/53218784_th.jpg This was a one-year only optioned Nova with only 14,463 being built. All had special red, white and blue exterior striping, black accent grille, and flat black window reveal molding. Most that I've seen were hatchback models, red carpet and white or neutral-colored bucket seat interior. Unlike the SS model('73), the tail light panel on these S.O.A. Novas was painted the exterior white rather than the flat black. One of these little deuces that is well equipped with all available factory options is worth its weight in gold. |

Why did Chevy sell it two years early? |

My husband and I are the original owners of 1974 "Spirit of America" Nova. It's a 350 cu in. auto on the floor with factory air. We loved the hatchback; it was great for taking our three kids to the drive-ins back in the day. We had a frame-off resto done in 2007. Chevy offered the "Spirit of America" package only on 1974 novas, vegas and impalas. I loved the clip from Police Squad! |
