First year of production 1969, but the grill seems to be a 1972 model, with no chrome beading on the grill |

1969-1972 Fiat 128 Berlina(=saloon)2 porte(=doors,too much larger rather than 4-door,for easy access at back seat),Ist series(oblong front grille's Fiat logo,beehive-alike grille pattern,chrome mustaches lacking,rather than as 128 4-doors grille);'cause have a German plate,could be even the CKD-built,1970-1972 West Germany-assembled Fiat 128 2 Turen-Limousine 1er-Serie made by Deutsche Fiat AG in Heilbronn in limited series(with sliding metal-sun roof made by Golde--if you see better,seems to have on roof a sunvisor,peculiar of those kind of openable roofs--'cause Fiat don't listed stock-made the same model in Italy with that optional,roof modification was done in Germany(where 128 cars were shipped from Italy) |

Although the 2nd car is a 4-door, it's a 1969 car since it has separated rectangular reflectors and bumper overiders. The car viewed from front is also a 1969 car. The overider is clearly seen and the front grille is the correct one for a 2-door car. Only 4-door cars had a chromed trim from the Fiat logo to each headlamp in the middle of the honeycomb front grille. |

datsunZ is right. The 128 mk I grilles were different in the 2 door and 4 door sedan. The Station wagon (3 doors) had the 4 door grille. |
