This is a 9N or 2N judging by the wide bolt pattern on the wheels, and is painted entirely the wrong color. With that said, the 9N was introduced in 39' thus the 9 in 9N. They were produced through 41'. The 2N was introduced in 42'. The 2N's during the war had magneto ignition and hand crank start only and no lights were available, no battery. Lights were optional on 9N, post war 2N and 8N so you see them with and without. All 9N, post war 2N and 8N tractors had electric start and traditional point ignition with a battery and generator. The 8N may have been introduced in 47' but they were 48' models. The 8N has the smaller center bolt pattern on the wheels and there was a difference around the gear shift housing. -- Last edit: 2009-11-10 22:09:44 |
