I always wonder if German troops did really used these french vehicles (Latil, and Citroen U23) or if it is an anachronism of the cineast?

The German Wehrmacht impounded every usable vehicle in occupied countries - exactly like it did back in Germany. Hence it is very plausible that Latils and Citroens of any description have been used by German occupying forces.

Did the Wehrmacht put its own number plates on impounded vehicles?

I ask because often the makers of WWII films seem to take whatever cars and trucks of about the right age they can find and repaint them with German markings.
